I thank the Lord first for always lifting me when I didn't think I could make it one more day. I have been blessed to have this opportunity to teach others what I have learned from three extraordinary women.
Every time I get behind my sewing machine I think of my mother that used to sew all our clothes for school. My sisters and I were the only ones with slacks and matching jackets in elementary! Fabric was not as expensive and with a family of six I am sure it was cost efficient to make your own clothes. Because of her I sell my fabric at a reduce cost. If I get a good price on some fabric then my customers get a good price as well. My mother passed away several years ago but I still miss her greatly. I wish she was here to see this little business I started.
My sister Norma also contributed to my love of being creative. I would come up with projects that "WE" could do, which meant she would do, "...but I helped!" She taught me to be patient and to take the time to measure twice and iron everything!
However my love and knowledge of quilting came from a lady named Gail. She was there when I started my first project and years later I became a confident quilter!
I thank these ladies that were a big influence in my life.
So as my son and I begin making memories of our own, I hope you guys will join us at Quilting Memories, where stitches become stories.
Have a question or would like to sign up for a class send us a message and we'll get back to you soon.
